FIELD NOTES: DAY HIKES — YOSEMITE REGION

Orientation & Terrain

Daily outings will vary based on weather conditions and water flow within the park. Each day will feature a designated trail, offering a full range of Yosemite’s grandeur. Expect to explore:

• Two footpaths from Yosemite Valley to a High Peak Rim.

• One trek through the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees

• A short walk at the base of El Capitan

Essentials for the Trail

Bring sturdy footwear, layered clothing, and a good dose of trail-ready energy. Strong legs and reliable knees are your best allies here.

Pace & Provisions

Not all who wander feel like climbing. Those seeking gentler rhythms are encouraged to remain at the cabin or linger in the valley floor—a perfect setting for restoration, reading, or reflection.

Final WordThis is not a race, but a return. Step lightly, breathe deeply, and let the mountains speak.

FIELD NOTES: FELLOWSHIP MEALS — TABLE & TRAIL

The Shared Table

At the heart of the Yosemite Pilgrimage is something more than fuel — it’s table fellowship.

Here, the meal is more than food. It’s feasting, laughing, storytelling, and the sacred act of gathering — where souls are nourished as much as bodies.

The Host Who Prepares

We come to the table to meet not just one another, but the God who hosts — the One who prepares a place, anticipates our needs, and delights in our joy.

He is the Yearning Host, ever ready with provision we hadn’t yet imagined.

A Feast Earned

After a day of hiking high trails and deep valleys, you won’t believe how good a simple steak can taste — seasoned by hunger, friendship, and the day’s adventure.
